I prefer playing with strangers because I'd rather win money from people I don't know! When I play, there are no friends at the table, it's all business. How about you? Do you prefer playing with friends or strangers?

I enjoy both depending on my mood, but strangers remove plenty of unnecessary emotions. But once your friends are involved, somone could start joking when serious decisions are happening.

I enjoy both, but for different reasons.

Playing with friends is usually more relaxed and social. There's always plenty of banter, laughs, and memorable moments, even if the stakes are low. It's a great way to spend an evening.

Playing with strangers, especially online, feels a bit more competitive. You don't have any reads based on personality or past games, so every decision is based on how your opponents are playing. It can also be a good way to improve since you're constantly facing different styles.

If I had to choose, I'd probably pick playing with friends for the overall experience, but I like mixing in games against strangers when I want more of a challenge.

What about everyone else? Which do you prefer, and why?

I am not very good at it, so most of the time I lose. When I play with friends, losing does not matter because the winner always gives treat to the losers. Therefore, I like to play with friends.

I usually prefer playing with friends. The atmosphere is more relaxed, there's plenty of conversation, and everyone is there to enjoy themselves. Playing with strangers can be fun too, but I find home games with friends much more enjoyable.

I'd also choose friends every time. There's usually more laughter, less tension, and everyone knows the atmosphere is meant to be enjoyable. Winning is nice, but spending a good evening with friends is what makes the game memorable.

As a newbie, I really appreciated and liked playing more with my friends because they are open to teaching me along the line as we played but I doubt a stranger would ever do that for you. Now, I don't mind playing with strangers or against them because I know I have the skills to win.
