I think it's all in your abilities and how good you are. You can trash talk all you want but if you can't back it up then it won't do you any good. Your record will speak for itself.

When you look at UFC for example, you can tell most of the trash talking is fake and just a way to drum for ticket sales and PPV buys. Some of the fighting talk seems so corny. Even Conor McGreggor goes overboard to the point its not direct trash talk, it's an entertainment spectacle.
