Being able to read someone at poker gives you a better chance to figure out what they are going to do. Whatever you can read from their body language or other acts will likely give you the strategy to choose that's going to help you win.

Have you tried reading whom you're playing poker with? How did you read the player and was it helpful?

Reading someone in poker can be difficult if they are good at bluffing and you will be surprised at how many people are good at doing just that.

Some people are very easy to read though in their facial expressions and how they act and if you watch those players you tend to learn a lot about them and what facial expressions give you an indication that they have a bad chance during that game.

What turn they bet on is really the best way to read someone but some people will check to throw you off and then re-raise if you raise. Check re-raising is a good strategy sometimes but other times it leads to everyone folding and not having a big pot you won.

It depends if you're playing live or online. If your playing live theres more reads/tells you can pick up on. Grinding online poker I look for betting patterns, and how players play certain hands.

I try to remember information I can use later on to take my opponents stacks.

Reading opponents often comes down to spotting the betting patterns rather than body language. How quickly they bet or how many bets they place can be more than mere facial expressions. So, that's where to focus on.

When it comes to reading my rivals when we play poker offline, the best move is always about paying close attention to their hand movements and how they keep their face when we are playing. That has been the best way that I got to read opponents when playing against them and it has worked well a couple of times. This won't always work when you are playing against rivals online anyways.

Reading the body language has been one of the most effective ways when it comes to achieving a lot in winning an opponent during a poker session. However, it is essential to understand that some might also end up faking some body movements just to trap you into making the wrong decisions.

Yeah, that's very correct. If you're playing offline, that's when you have the opportunity to access player's body language and also their response in betting patterns depending on what/how you play. As for finding out online, some people can be so unpredictable.

That's true, body language can tell you a lot but you can’t trust it blindly. Some people give off signs without knowing while others fake it to throw you off. That’s why I like to watch patterns instead of just one moment. If someone suddenly acts different, I don’t jump to conclusions. I just add it to what I already noticed and move with caution.

As at now, I have mastered how to read players though patterns. I am still yet to master how to read players in the poker table through body language. I always use how fast they bet, and how often they continuation-bet to determine the level of pressure they are in. It is not a perfect system to read players but with it, I am always able to narrow down ranges. It saves me many times and has also failed me some times too.
