Pot odds and expected value (EV) are two basic but really extremely important concepts in poker. Pot odds will show whether a call is winning or otherwise, while EV will enable you to gain a glimpse of the possible expected value of a play. Knowing these concepts will allow you to make more informed decisions and potentially increase your winnings.

To be honest, these two strategies are quite important in poker. Pot odds help you decide if to call or fold based on risk and reward. Expected value show how much you can win or lose on average. If you understand these well, it's a big advantage. That will make you improve your game.

Pot odds and EV are honestly some of the most useful tools you can learn. Pot odds help you see if a call actually makes sense and EV gives you an idea of whether a play will benefit you in the long run. When you understand both, your decisions become way clearer. It’s like switching from guessing to actually knowing what you’re doing.
