Is the UFC pay structure fair to their fighters?

Honestly, I don't think UFC is paying their fighters very well compared to the money being made by the company. If you look at boxing, a single big fight might earn the boxer more than what UFC have paid their fighter throughout their career. It's why so many UFC fighters want to switch to boxing once their contract with UFC is over.

What could be the reason why Dana White doesn't want to have an improved pay structure for his UFC fighters?
