Poker game demand high level of mental strength and soundness. Winning demands that a player must be able to control his mind and navigate all through the realities in the game. While a player may not be able to win all, his actions which is psychological based determines how far he will go!
Therefore, a mentally prepared player is more likely to win than a player who is not mentally balanced.

I have always also believed that poker is not just about the cards. It is a game that has to test the will of a person. It is only a poker player that is calm on the table that can identify tells and bluff. It is only a poker player that has a calm mind that is sensitive enough to know when to fold. Poker demands discipline and it starts from the mind.

I would also support mental strength as being very significant in poker. It puts you in a position to make better decisions. When your mind is settled, you'll do better in decision making.

I totally agree. Poker really demands strong mental focus and self-control. It’s not just about luck the way you manage your thoughts, emotions, and decisions makes a huge difference. Even if you don’t win every hand, staying calm and thinking strategically usually takes you much further than reacting impulsively.

Poker will really tests your mental strength. Even if you don’t win every hand, staying calm, thinking clearly and controlling your reactions makes a huge difference. A player who’s mentally prepared will last longer and make better decisions than someone who gets shaken up easily. Patience plays a big role too, one needs to wait for the right spots and not get frustrated by bad beats.
And being able to bounce back after a loss, without letting it affect your next move, separates solid players from the rest.

We have all known poker to be about cards and maths but the mental state of a poker player is equally as important. A player that is calm on the poker table is more likely to make more logical decisions and avoid emotions taking over. That largely avoids tilt. Someone without a strong mental balance on the poker table would make bad decisions in game and ultimately chase losses.

A strong mind is a better asset for succeeding in poker. Believe me when I say that it is not easy especially when one is losing, but focusing on turning it around is one of the best moves that would help a poker player to excel.

Well, I would say that strategy matters more than luck when it comes to playing and winning poker. It's with the right strategy that you're going to have the right mental preparation that's going to put you on the right track to win.

Believing and trusting in your strategy is a key factor for anyone who wants to excel in playing poker. What is also important is being mentally fit because that is how you would be able to make clear decisions when you are playing poker with friends or people out there.

Yeah, that's very correct. If you don't believe in your playing strategy, it means that you are not sure if what to do as the game goes on. A lot of doubts will creep in which is going to make the player do something they shouldn't and lose.

Exactly the point. I don't think anyone is going to make it as long as they are focused on having a strong strategy that guarantees success even when it is not forthcoming at that moment.

Yeah, it's just like coaches in football with their own strategy and philosophy. They stick to it in good and bad times because it's what they believe to work. It's should be the same thing for poker players too if they really want to succeed.

Poker isn't a game for kids because if anyone thinks it's a walk in the park, they are in for one bumpy ride because they are going lose to the point of feeling paranoid. Mental strength is key to managing sanity when playing poker.

You are very correct. One has to be mentally focused if they want to do well in playing this game. It is not just like any game that we see out there.
