Playing for fun or money?

Honestly, it's more of playing for fun with me now when it comes to poker. I used to put more attention to playing for money but it wasn't working out so well, I decided to now do it for fun. If I win money while at it, that's good.

I have also changed my approach from playing just to gain monetary benefits to play for the fun of it. The pressure that we have on winning may sometime be very tasking.

It's the right way to play because without being worried about money, you will make better decisions. Even if you lose, you wouldn't be pained so much.

If you play with a small percentage of your bankroll, there's less pressure/risk. Everything else is pressure we put on ourselves as players to try and win every game.

The fun elements doubles when you play for money. It is always exciting when there is money involved in it. I am sure a lot of people will agree with me

Taking control of your cash gives you a relaxed mindset. When I play without thinking about the money, I tend to enjoy the activity more. When I play to win money, I control my expectations and decision. It makes it more tensed.

If you make playing for money your priority, if you don't win after playing for a long time, you will start losing interest in playing.

I will still continue to stress that the motive to play for fun must be the foundation choice for all gaming activities. Placing too much emphasis on money can creates substantial strain on you. It will kill the fun in the game.

It happened to me several times for me to sit down and talk to myself. The lesson and advice you give to yourself is always the best and that's how I changed my mindset towards how I play.

The tables and stakes are a lot higher when there’s money involved. A lot of people would like to win the jackpot.😉

Sadly, the excitement will soon die once you start start losing, it will even give you stress and anxiety if you made a huge losses.

I agree, which is why I don’t like to gamble.

Don't get me wrong, I love the little bit of extra cash I make from playing poker, but it's not the main reason I play. The main reason I play is for the fun, the community, and the frequent online chatroom antics that poker brings out in people. I don't often play for long on sites without chat functionality or where the chats are dead.

If you play for money and if you cannot make money, it will give you a lot of tension. However, if you play for fun and also win money in the meantime it is a great pleasure.

Money is my source of motivation for playing poker. I might play for fun when money is not involved.
I still play for fun when money is involved, but yes money is the motivator.

There's always a motive behind how any poker player goes at his or her game. I believe that it's either money motive or just for fun.

When it comes to how I play, it's always for the win and the money. I have so many other ways to have fun, so when I decide to go into playing poker, it's definitely about the money first.
I think for both. Playing games for money alone can bring a whole lot of pressure. Therefore, a smart player play for both. Fun reduce pressure and make your game more easy and flexible. Remember, if you play poker simply because of the money, you are likely to be emotionally unsettled.

Winning money is a great motivator, but chasing it with only financial objectives in mind brings me stress. Also, fun alone can lead to reckless decisions and lack of concentration. So, I balance both worlds into my game.
