Everybody knows that poker is the game with its code of ethics. What are some real-life poker taboos that gets you looking like 😲? Is the slow rolling or angle shooting ? Let's discuss some rules of poker etiquette and let us try to keep everything civil.

You're not supposed to use hand signals with other players, who are also in on the scam. Casino security is all over that, of course. Has anyone seen an example of this in movies? I saw it on the movie Casino (1995).

Slow rolling, angle shooting, and collusion are the most common taboos of poker. All these acts are considered immoral and could probably ruin a player's reputation.

I think slow rolling is the most frowned at practice in poker. Most poker players, pro and amateur feel it is really mean and humiliating. I always refrain from it entirely.

Don't touch other players' chips, show your cards during a hand, or string bet. Avoid discussing hands while they're happening or giving advice to other players. Don't celebrate too much when you win big pots, and definitely don't blame the dealer for bad cards. Also, keep your phone usage minimal during play.

I don't think celebrating too much can be consider a taboo in game of poker! You can celebrate as much as you think fit but don't constitute a nuisance! There is a whole lot of difference between celebration and madness.

That's my stance as well. It can't be looked at as a taboo because one is happy with the outcome of a game that he or she played. The most important thing is for one to be civil when they are celebrating winning a poker game.
