What is the difference between gambling and investment

Investment and gambling involves risk. In actual sense of it, gambling is a form of investment and in the other way round every investment is a form of gambling. Both involves risk. I have see cryptocurrency and forex traders lose huge chunk of money upon all the analysis and research. I have equal see gamblers hit jackpots and become millionaires overnight. There are some gamblers who make more money than forex traders!
In your opinion, what is difference between investment and gambling?

The real difference is in the manner of their approach and goals. Typically, the long-term strategy is to grow wealth around investments. But gambling is a game of chance with short-term wins or losses.
