There is a huge difference between freeroll and play money. While you can enter into the two games free without paying anything, the two have different end result. In play money, you can't win any real money. You can only win play money in such tournaments. In freeroll, you can withdraw your winning to your wallet or account. But bear in mind that TOS of every poker sites is different and very unique.

Freerolls are so more players hopefully play the buy-ins with their winnings, not just cash out when they win. I only play a few freerolls, and some of them are more rewarding than buy-ins I play.

Can you share which freerolls are more rewarding than regular tournaments with buy-ins? I mean specific site.

I don't think there is any freerolls that is better than regular tournaments. You can't compare freeroll with regular tournaments with buy-ins. It is like comparing hundreds to thousands in dollars! I think @Bawse can help out if there is any. But on individual level, you can be more lucky with freerolls than buy-ins.

I think the main difference is that play money games are just for fun with fake chips, while freerolls are real tournaments with actual money prizes but no entry fee. Freerolls get you real cash if you place well, but play money is just practice with no rewards.

Play money is not that good as a way to perfect your game, but reerolls make you learn the values of the game since there is a reward linked to performance. It is more seriously taken by people and it is a good method of playing without risking your bankroll.

I have never played poker for play money. Looks to me like a waste of time. The entry fee for freerolls is zero. So why not get in there and play to build a bankroll than do play money which would never give you any financial benefit. And for play money poker games, you would hardly get a strong opponent that would stretch you for improvement.

Play money games use fake chips that have no real value - they're just for practice and fun without any risk. Freeroll games, on the other hand, are tournaments that are free to enter but offer actual cash prizes or tournament tickets you can win. So freerolls give you a chance at real rewards without paying an entry fee.
