Even experienced bettors sometimes believe momentum is real after a few wins in a row. Is confidence affecting decision-making, or do people naturally search for patterns in randomness? Have you ever changed your betting strategy because you felt “locked in” during a session?

gambling is basically a game of luck, and some people believe that if they have won a few games they are on winning streaks, and they can continue playing for the day. When they are having a good day, they might actually win a lot of money.

People just like patterns even when nothing is there. Once you win three or four times back to back, your brain will begin to whisper that "today is your lucky day." That's how reckless decisions starts. I’ve caught myself thinking like that before until one bad session reset my brain immediately.

I think it's because hot streaks feel real when you're experiencing them. A few wins in a row can make it seem like you've figured something out, even when it's mostly variance.
