Betting on draws as the likely outcome of a football match is one of the popular betting options in football. Some people go a step further to bet on the result of the first half being a draw.

How risky is it to stake on first half draw?

Placing a wager on a first half draw in soccer is not advisable because teams are known to give their best out at an early stage of the game, especially the better teams. The odds may be tempting but it's too risky.

Placing a wager on a first half draw can be risky. It is risky as it suppose to be. The probability of its happening is 1/3 that is relatively high. I will advise you to go to bets that have two possible outcomes like over/under options!
Well, betting is complex and it will a huge mistake if you are gambling without any specific strategy.

Ive never bet on a soccer match in my life, im interested in this thread though, with only 1 point per goal and soccer being a low scoring game in general it doesnt seem like that bad of a bet for me. if i bet sports its normally (Rugby or Rugby league) and i only pick winner, not much money in it just for banter and bets against friends. what would a return normally look like for a draw if you picked correct?

It depends on the league in that you are placing these bets. We have some leagues such as the Spanish second division where playing ultra defence is the way most teams aim to win and matches in those leagues always end in a draw. So, betting in such a league has higher chances of the ticket achieving success.
