We all preach solid bankroll rules, but is there a point where being overly cautious actually slows growth? Have you ever taken a calculated shot that paid off big or blown up a roll by being too aggressive? I’d love to hear how you all personally draw that line.

My brother, some people are overprotecting $200 bankroll like it's a school certificate. Could you believe that I saw someone refuse a level up a game because it was “5% over his limit.” Discipline is good, yes flexibility is good sometimes.

I'm guilty of being over protective of my bankroll. It's my lifeline, and if I go bust I don't want to be forced to reload. I give myself a minimum of 25+ buy-ins before moving up stakes. I also only play tournaments. I'd be even more cautious grinding cash games, because of the swings.

It's hard, very hard to remain discipline, and follow through with bankroll management. I think managing your money is way more important than poker talent itself.

Hey all. I've been playing mobile poker apps (PPPoker, X-Poker,PokerBros, ClubGG) for a couple of years, mostly in Asian clubs.Built a comparison directory at poker-catalog where I track rakebackrates, club traffic, and agent reliability. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
