Intermediate Can being too math oriented hurt your game?

Thoughts? Do you think a player relying on math skills can open up leaks in their game?

Numbers are good but poker is not a calculator competition. I’ve played with one guy who knew every percentage but couldn’t read obvious tilt. Online maybe pure math works more, but live table? Body language and timing matters.

It would for me, as I'm not good with numbers and I would easily and quickly become confused.
