The skills I'm talking about include emotional control, patience, reading others, and understanding probabilities. If you practice consistently and learn from your mistakes, it matters more than your IQ.

I don't believe that IQ theory. Human intelligence can not be measured or quantified. I have seen some dude that have high IQ but keep failing in life's issues where intelligence is top criteria. In other hand, i have seen dumb fellows that miraculous achieve feats that is naturally above their IQ.

I know that there is a point that pro players apply Game Theory to poker. At that level, you would be needing a very high IQ. Beyond that, you don't necessarily need an Einstein level IQ to do well in poker. Just have sound reasoning and decision making.
