The fastest way to spoil a good game is allowing arguments to drag on. I've seen people spend twenty minutes debating about a hand while everybody else sits there bored. For me, somebody neutral should intervene and make the decision so that both parties can move on.

I try to stay calm and sort things out before the next hand starts. If there's a disagreement, I think it's best to check the house rules, hear everyone out, and make a fair decision.

Since I play with friends and family, I try to avoid disagreements at home games. Sometimes when there are disagreements, I don't try to escalate. I don't try to go into conflict with friends and family in a gambling game.

If there's a disagreement, I'd rather pause the game for a minute, check the house rules, and let everyone have their say. Keeping the game friendly is more important to me than proving who's right.
